Okay, so I’m back with yet another review on sheet masks. This obsession is just starting, kids. I bought one Skin Food Peach Sake sheet mask last Friday, plus I’ve got four (yep, count ‘em) boxes of VOV masks to pick up from the Post Office thanks to my first Gmarket purchase, so expect more sheet mask reviews!
As of now I have little choice but to stick to The Face Shop for my sheet masks as there are few alternatives available. I mentioned before that these masks contain SD Alcohol 40, which can be drying, or worst, irritating. It’s not good for your skin is what I mean. So by now I’ve sworn off most TFS sheet masks, except for the Essentials line.
Now I’ve got another line I’d like to talk about, and it’s the pricier line known as the Imperial Herbs collection. There are five variants in this collection, but so far I’ve only tried three:
My review after the jump.
You’ll notice I said “review”, not “reviews”. Well it’s because I found no discernible difference between all three variants that I tried. True, I found them all pretty good and nourishing, but I can’t really see any difference in the results they give.
It’s not that I don’t like them at all, it’s just that I think of those that I tried in this line, I found that they were all mostly similar in effect anyway.
So to make things simple, here’s a list of the variants I tried:
Don’t worry, I can’t pronounce half of those names either.
Anyway, they’re supposed to do stuff like soothe your skin, or give you healthy skin, or moisturize, balance, etc. The thing is, I can’t see any of this stuff after I use the mask.
I find these masks quite good, actually, in terms of relaxation. I don’t get a stinging and irritating feeling as with other Face Shop masks. Unfortunately, I can’t find any real effects after using them.
This line does have sturdier sheets, and the essence doesn’t drip so less mess for me. But they do have enough essence for the face, so don’t worry about not getting your money’s worth in terms of the amount of essence in it. The result isn’t as noteworthy though.
Will I repurchase? I don’t know. Maybe if I can’t find any other masks around, and I have no choice but TFS, I’ll pick something from this line surely. Other than that, I’d go for some other brand I guess.
