Review: The Face Shop Home Aesthetic Fresh Cucumber Pack

The Face Shop Fresh Cucumber Pack

The Face Shop Fresh Cucumber Pack

I’ve told you before of my love for wash-off packs, and lately I’ve been kinda under a lot of stress, so I thought I’d pop by Skin Food and get a tub of their Cucumber Wash-Off pack.  Unfortunately, they were no longer selling it.  The SA said that it was going to be phased off completely. Boo!

Anyway, since I was dead set on getting a cucumber mask/pack, I decided to check out The Face Shop, which is a few steps away from Skin Food.  Imagine my joy when I saw several different variants of their wash-off masks!  I purchased the Fresh Cucumber Pack immediately, and added a few sheet masks into the total as well. (I just started trying sheet masks and I must say I’m crazy in love hahahaha.  Reviews in a few days!)

Being the weird and impatient person that I am, I immediately used my Fresh Cucumber Pack after washing my face.  My review after the cut!

The Fresh Cucumber Pack really is fresh. It’s very cool immediately upon applying on the skin, which is great for relieving stress and giving the skin a boost. It can sting a teensy bit, but that’s negligible for me. I was so happy with its cooling effect that I ignored the tingling sensation.

It has a really goopy consistency, hence there is less dripping and it’s not as messy as other wash-off packs.  Also it’s got a great scent that reminds me of real cucumbers. I sort of want to eat it, hehe.

By the way, it’s got these tiny beads that you need to pop by applying a bit of pressure.  Massage the pack in and pop the beads.  It’s quite fun actually, though a little tiring.  Some people might find the beads unnecessary, but I kind of like the additional texture it gives the mask pack.

After fifteen minutes, I washed everything off and I must say it’s really tops! My face was brighter and looked well-rested, even though I’d just gotten home from a grueling day at the office.  My skin looked plumper, too, which fulfills the Fresh Cucumber Pack’s promise of hydration.

Overall I think it’s a great product. I currently have it in the refrigerator for that extra cooling boost. Come to think of it, I’ll try using it tomorrow morning to wake my skin up before going to work. I can just imagine the cold pack on my face. Invigorating!

Obviously I’m going to purchase this again in the future, as well as add a few more variants like Hydrating Milk and Seaweed. It’s not that expensive either, so I can stock up on as many variants as I want hahaha.  I think I’ve started a lifelong love affair with facial masks!
