I have a zit.
Not just a zit, but THE zit. It’s the kind of zit that drives me ballistic. It’s not that my face is perfect, far from it. The thing, though, is that I was doing fine until I added new products to my usual routine. I’m giving the products another chance, though, as I think there’s hope here yet. Though I know these new “additions” broke me out, I’m thinking I can readjust and figure out a way to use them still without driving my face haywire.
But I’m digressing. On to the zit problem.
It’s the kind of zit that’s (sorry, kinda graphic) red, hard and has a bit of yellow on top. So when you try to pop it, it doesn’t really *ahem* satisfy you as it doesn’t pop so well.
Now I’m getting antsy, because I hate it hate it hate it when I have pimples. I’ve gone back to my tried and tested solution, Adapalene. It’s worked a bit, but not as quickly as I hoped. Checking around for a faster way to get rid of these stupid blemishes, I stumbled upon a gadget that’s supposedly the end of all acne problems.
Wanna know about it?
This might be old news for some of you already, but here’s the sitch: a company named Zeno has introduced its Thermal Acne Treatment Device, more conveniently known as the Zeno Zit Zapper.
It doesn’t use any special medication, just heat.
You put the tip against your blemish, turn it on and keep it there for two minutes. There’s a built-in timer to let you know when to lift the gadget off your pimple.
So does it work?
Theoretically it should. Heat does work on pimples; we all know that already. A lot of people swear by the hot compress in minimizing pimples. But according to reviews I’ve seen, it does work *BUT* only on certain kinds of pimples. It won’t get rid of blackheads or whiteheads either.
The largely positive reviews sound awesome, though. A lot of bloggers claim that they tried this gadget on would-be pimples and it zapped them gone in 24 hours or so. Now is that cool or what?
Personally, I’d like to try this. No messy or possibly harmful ingredients, just basic old science and it works (most of the time).
Wanna try it!

Hmm..if it does use heat, should q-tip dipped in warm water and then warm compress on the zit work the same way? :)
Yeah, I guess it works the same way as the hot compress. It’s just the idea of a gadget-y solution that’s got me all tingly haha
